Established
in 1976, Gowerton Dental Practice is dedicated to improving the dental health
of all our patients. The Practice is owned by Richard Jones and provides a wide range of preventative
dental care.
Our
Hygienists are a vital part of our dental team. They will provide you with care
and advice focused on the health of your gums. This allows you to minimise the
risk of gum disease and improves the freshness of your mouth.
Adults are treated by private arrangement and most of our patients have chosen to receive their dental care through the Denplan care programme. This allows them to pay a regular monthly payment in return, for comprehensive preventative dental care and advice.
Children are currently treated under NHS regulations.
The Practice's firm commitment to training and personal development of the whole dental team has allowed us to develop and retain a highly trained and motivated team.
Richard Jones joined the practice in 1994 before leaving for Australia to work for four years and return to rejoin practice in 2006 and became practice owner 2009. Mr Jones treats adult patients under Denplan and treats children under the National Health Service three and a half days a week. Mr Jones is also a part time clinical lecturer in Primary Dental Care at the Dental School in Cardiff.
Amit Gupta joined practice 2008 is an associate at the practice and works five days a week. Mr Gupta works primarily under the NHS.
Richard Herbert joined the practice in 1978 works at the practice one day a week. Mr Herbert treats patients on a Private basis the majority are treated under the Denplan Scheme. Mr Herbert is also responsible for Vocational Training for all young dentists in Wales and is Associate Dean in the Dental Postgraduate Department
